Advocate Agency Slated to Speak at February Mall Walkers Meeting
February 17, 2006. Greg Peterson, Executive Director of ‘Ombudsman’, an advocate agency for residents of nursing homes, board and care homes and assisted living facilities will speak to the Antelope Valley Mall Walkers on Wednesday, February 22, at 7:30 a.m. in the Food Court. Peterson will address the importance of protecting the rights and dignity of those living in long term care facilities. Attendees will also learn how to protect these rights, and what to do if they have been violated.
The Antelope Valley Mall Walkers meet the fourth Wednesday of each month and all programs are FREE to the public. The Mall Walker programs are sponsored by High Desert Medical Group.
Sun Plus Home Care will also be checking blood pressure free of charge every Wednesday from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM in the food court.
